The Second  Rockdale Math Competition

The second competition should have taken place in January 2005.

Unfortunately, a severe ice storm hit the area the night before the competition was to take place. Due to other conflicts, it could not be rescheduled until the following January.

Once again, middle and high schools were invited to send unlimited numbers of students to compete in subject-specific levels: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Comprehensive. The Competition involved a 30-problem, written multiple-choice test and four rounds of five-problem ciphering.

Trophies were awarded to the top 3 teams in each subject level per classification, and the top 15 individuals were recognized with a trophy. Additionally, the first place winner received a graphing calculator. The Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Geometry winners received TI-83s, and the Algebra II and Comprehensive winners received TI-89s. Listed here are all team rankings per subject level and the top 15 individual winners in each category.
